   deadline for FAFSA is April 15 each year. Note: There is no application deadline
   for federal aid.

2. Get started October 1st each year by applying online here: www.fafsa.gov.

Complete Placement Testing If Required (Beginning January each year)

Returning Students Apply for VU Scholarships (Beginning December 1st each Year)

Scholarships and Grants

1. Complete the VU Scholarship Application process by January 15th each year for Priority Deadline.  After this date, scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis.

2.  Get started November 1st (or earlier) each year by applying online here: Foundation - Scholarships page to fill out the application and view a complete scholarship listing.

High-School Transcript

Request your Transcript

1. If you have less than 24 credit hours you will need to send us your final high school transcript. Complete this process after you have received acceptance notification. 

2. Use the Parchment System found here to request your transcripts: Request Transcripts. If your school does not use Parchment, contact them directly about requesting your transcript.

Immunization and Medical Information

1. Send in your Immunization Record & Medical History/Physical Exam Form. Complete this process after you have received acceptance notification.  You can find your immunization record on your high school transcript or at your local health department.

Sign up to Register for Classes

New Student Registration

1. START VU is our new student registration program that begins in
   April for the fall semester and in November for the spring semester.

2. Sign-up information will be sent to accepted students in mid-March for the fall semester and in October for the spring semester.

3. Accuplacer, or placement test, or admission requirements will need to be completed before
   being contacted by an advisor to schedule classes.  See Placement Testing. (anchor to Admission Requirements)

Apply for Housing (Residential students)

1. Complete this process after you have received acceptance notification.  You must have your MyVU login credentials (username and password) to access the contract.

2. Go to www.vinu.edu/housing (Internet Explorer is not compatible with accessing the Housing Contract).
