Mission Statement
The mission of Vincennes University Project ASPIREE, a Talent Search program, is to encourage qualified income eligible and/or first generation students to complete secondary school, re-enter secondary school, and undertake a program of postsecondary education. Project ASPIREE increases educational opportunities by providing academic career, college, and financial aid information.
Vision Statement
Project ASPIREE is committed to all participants to achieve their educational goals. Participants will be equipped with the necessary resources and skills which will enable them to: successfully meet the challenges of the 21st Century, make sound career decisions, and pursue postsecondary opportunities which will allow them to improve their quality of life and contribute to society.
About Us
Project ASPIREE, a Talent Search Project, is a 100% federally funded TRIO program at $230,000 by the U.S. Department of Education. Project ASPIREE identifies and assists individuals from income eligible backgrounds and/or potential first generation students (neither parent has a four-year college degree) who have the potential to succeed in higher education. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to the postsecondary school of their choice.
Project ASPIREE also serves students without high school diplomas by encouraging them to reenter the education system and complete their education. The goal of this Talent Search Project is to increase the number of youths from these backgrounds who complete high school and enroll in post secondary education institutions of their choice.
