Admission Requirements for Students Under 17

Applicants who will be under the age of 17 at the time of initiating classes, and who wish to enroll in classes leading to an associate degree or technical certificate, must meet with the Director of Admissions accompanied by their parent(s) or guardian(s).

The Director will review each application on a case-by-case basis. All students under the age of 18, who wish to take classes from Vincennes University, whether face-to-face or distance education classes, must also present a form signed by their parent/guardian.

This form indicates the parent/guardian understands the student may be interacting with adults online as well as in the classroom, and discussing course content which may not typically be thought of as appropriate for minors. The form indicates the parent/guardian understands the University will assume no liability for monitoring this activity or responsibility for changing course content.

Any student who is under the age of 18 who wishes to live in a VU residence hall must present, with their housing application, a form signed by their parent or guardian indicating the parent/guardian understands VU will not assume responsibility for supervising the underage student.
