The Dean of Students Office is located on the second floor of the Beckes Student Union in the Student Center. The Dean of Students is responsible for student judicial affairs, supervises Multicultural and International Student Affairs, and assists Student Activities with the planning and implementation of a diverse schedule of events for the entire campus. The Dean of Students serves students, faculty, staff and others in a variety of ways and is available to respond to questions and concerns about University policies, procedures, and services.
The Mission of the Dean of Students Office is to help students and families enjoy a successful college expereince by providing the support needed to understand and navigate college entrance, appropriate personal, classroom, and community behaviors, and the complaint and exit processes. By establishing a rapport with students and their families, providing services that clarify key college processes, enforcing policies consistently and fairly, promoting personal and social responsibility, and advocating for the development of the whole person, the Dean of Students Office intends to build students' ability to make responsible personal choices and develop their sense of personal responsiblity toward other students, the institution, and the community in which they live.
