"I just travelled over 2000 miles for the best CNC training I’ve ever had - period.
The Vincennes University HTEC course pulls together key CNC elements: programming, machine interface, operation set-up and all in three days- that’s pretty impressive. This is CNC learning in a state-of-the-art facility, with a dedicated master instructor offering a step-by-step approach to high speed machining. Up front preparation by way of online tutorials takes the edge off the learning curve- so be prepared to do some independent learning to get the most out of this. The Immerse2Learn tutorials give a clear picture of CNC language with excellent visuals of G&M codes, work offsets, tool offsets, and canned cycles. Now I was speaking G code! In-class training provides actual Haas control panel interface and in-depth program writing for each machining process. Regular trips to the shop after each programming step breaks up the monotony of class work - a real learn it do it approach. You will leave with a clear understanding of feed/speed selections, tooling types and applications. It gets even better when you run your own machine to prepare your part blank by manual milling but the real fun starts when you run your part at 240 ipm at 10,00rpm! If you are looking for a course which will deliver- this is it. If you come prepared you could leave with a NIMS credential and better than that you will have the confidence to push your own buttons."

"Your manufacturing technology programs at Vincennes University are an outstanding example of state-of-the-art programs that graduate work-ready, highly skilled manufacturing technologists for many demanding careers in many companies. Haas Automation has been the fortunate recipient of a group of your graduates and found them to be excellent contributors to our manufacturing operations.
Your outlined plans for developing on-going advanced programs and specialized CNC teacher training will be an outstanding benefit to many education programs, equipping teachers to present current technology and curriculum to many manufacturing programs throughout North America.
We are all aware of the importance of manufacturing to our economy and the shortage of well trained, qualified manufacturing practitioners. Your program is filling an ongoing need for skilled employees. We thank you for your dedication and efforts of the entire VU manufacturing education staff."

"As America continues to recover from the most recent recession, it is increasingly apparent that the American manufacturing community is more critical than ever to the future of this great country. We will not thrive as a service driven economy alone. We must create wealth here at home, and domestic manufacturing has historically led this front.
One of the greatest challenges we face in this industry is finding well qualified personnel who are able and willing to do this work. Meeting these challenges requires an educational system that graduates qualified candidates; and naturally, instructors who are able to teach the required courses to prepare the students for the real world of modern manufacturing.
As a machine tool distributor for an American-made product, it is paramount to our sustained success that these types of employees are available to us for years to come. To that end, we know of no finer institution in the world that meets these demands than Vincennes University. VU’s continued and distinguished service to the educational needs of the manufacturing community is unparalleled.
We believe so strongly in what VU is doing, we have made significant financial investments in their manufacturing programs over the past five years. We heartily endorse their efforts as being worthy of support from anyone believes manufacturing is essential to our continued success as a country."
