What can I expect during my time at VU?
- All chemistry majors follow similar curriculum patterns during the first two years of study, therefore expect a seamless transfer to 4-year universities.
- Complete your A.S. Transfer degree in two years.
- Hands-on use of instrumentation (FT-IR, NMR, GC) as well as the rigorous application of computer-based data acquisition and analysis methods.
- Professors-taught classes.
- Lecture classes with 30 students or less, and laboratory with 18 students or less.
- Close Faculty-Student interaction; with daily office hours and advising roles.
- AS graduates will have the skills and knowledge needed to advance to 4-year universities.

What can I do with this degree?
- Enter the workforce in an industrial position: pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, petroleum refining, manufactory, etc.
