Skimming Boundaries art exhibition opens Oct. 2
September 18, 2018
VINCENNES, IND. - An exhibition featuring paintings by Lindsey Dunnagan will open October 2 at Vincennes University’s Shircliff Gallery of Art. The exhibition will run through Friday, November 2. An artist talk and opening reception will take place on October 2, 11 a.m. EDT, in the gallery.
The series Skimming Boundaries investigates the permeable line between this world
and what may lie beyond. It explores the intangible world of the spirit and the boundary
that separates us. It is rooted in Dunnagun’s experiences with her grandmother, who
battled Alzheimer’s for the last ten years of her life. Lindsey uses diverse methodologies,
including natural dyes to explore ideas of memory and place in her artwork.
The Shircliff Gallery of Art is located in Room A103 of the Shircliff Humanities Center
at the corner of First and Harrison streets on the VU campus. Gallery hours are 8
a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 12-4 p.m. on
Sunday. Admission is free.
