AVIATION TECHNOLOGY:

DANIEL BURGER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Daniel Burger graduated from Goshen High School in 1977. He attended A&P School in Broomfield, CO. His love of aviation carried him through a multi-faceted career in the field, beginning as an airplane mechanic for Combs Gates and most recently, sharing his passion, and jokes, with students as an adjunct professor at Vincennes University Aviation Technology Center.

  • Recipients will be an Aviation Maintenance major.
  • Recipients shall be full-time student(s) at the Vincennes University Aviation Technology Center.
  • Recipients may be any year student in the program, but must be beyond the first semester of the program.
  • Financial need is a primary consideration in awarding the scholarship.
  • Scholarship awardees shall maintain 2.0 GPA at Vincennes University during scholarship period.
  • In awarding the scholarship, preference will not be limited by scholarship applications from any specific high school attended or county of residence.

DAVID LESTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

DAVID MORTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

DUNSETH AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP

  • Aviation Flight Major
  • Full time (12 credit hours) Part time (6 credit hours)
  • Recipients are eligible for renewal consideration for the next academic year with application and letter of renewal request
  • All other Foundation criteria applicable
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

JAMES L. JERNIGAN FLIGHT SCHOLARSHIP

  • Aviation Flight major
  • Full time, second year student
  • Must have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better
  • First consideration to a veteran w/ past or current affiliation with any branch of service
  • Financial need is a primary consideration
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

JAMES SKINNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Aviation Flight Major
  • Student serious about education
  • Regular attendance required
  • Recommended by Aviation Flight Department
  • Can be used towards tuition, books, and/or fees
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

MAC MCCORMICK SCHOLARSHIP

  • Transportation, Business, Logistics or Aviation majors
  • Full or part time (minimum of 6 credit hours); Minimum of 2.0 GPA must be maintained at all times
  • Financial need is a consideration
  • Applicants whose character represent the "Spirit of Mac" will receive first consideration
  • Knox County and Dubois County applicants will be considered first, then other nearby counties
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

MAX GERHART MEMORIAL FLIGHT SCHOLARSHIP

  • Aviation Flight Major
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA at all times
  • First consideration will be to Knox County Indiana and Lawrence County Illinois residents
  • Selected by Aviation Department
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

MICHAEL GEHRICH AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP

  • Aviation Flight or Aviation Major enrolled at the Aviation Technology Center
  • Full time, Non-Traditional Student; 2.0 GPA at all times during scholarship period
  • Not available to first year, first semester applicants
  • Financial need is a primary consideration
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

SHANE PENNINGTON II MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Recipients may be enrolled as a full-time student, part-time student or summer session student.
  • Recipients shall be enrolled in the Vincennes University Aviation Flight program.
  • Preference will be given to graduates of Mooresville High School.
  • Students shall present a 2.0 grade point average and maintain the standard level of academic progress as defined by Vincennes University throughout the term of the scholarship.

TOM KNOLL AVIATION MAINTENANCE SCHOLARSHIP

  • Aviation Maintenance Majors
  • Scholarship can be used for tuition, books and fees
  • Full Time Student
  • Must be in 2nd year of program
  • Traditional and Non-Traditional
  • ATC Campus Students
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.
