A degree from VU in hotel management will prepare you to be a manager trainee, an assistant manager, or other supervisory positions. Courses you would take include front office management, hospitality customer services, hotel conventions and marketing, and housekeeping management.

This curriculum offers prospective hotel/motel managers a comprehensive program of study in lodging management practices. The program combines theory of management, sales, forecasting with practical applications of front desk techniques, reservations, conventions, guest reception and comfort. This program will provide the fundamentals of the many varied aspects of hotel and motel management to prepare students for careers in this segment of hospitality. Typical entry-level positions include front desk supervisor, manager trainee, departmental supervisor or assistant manager.

Hotel and Motel Management - Hospitality Management Studies Concentration 7454, A.S. Transfer

This program provides a broad area of instruction concerning the hospitality management industry and enhances the student’s possibility of employment within a variety of hospitality facilities.  This is a hotel management degree with a concentration in hospitality management giving the student options to pursue a career in either a hotel or other type of hospitality management operation.  The A.S. degree program is designed for students wishing to transfer to a baccalaureate degree institution.
