The Jasper Humanities Department mission is to promote critical thinking and problem
solving through a robust curriculum and engaging instruction with the intent to assist
productive student communication and foster insightful contribution in a wide variety of
diverse environments. Opportunities to read critically, speak confidently, and write
creatively while following conventions of formal and informal writing about global
perspectives posits to improve awareness of others and develop powerful communication
that transfers to personal, academic, and professional environments.
