History
In the early 1990's, much like today, Indianapolis was preparing for hundreds of new
jobs in the aviation industry. The Aviation Technology Center, a state-of-the-art
maintenance facility, was developed on 32 acres of Indianapolis International Airport
property when Vincennes University was invited to train future aviation employees.
The Aviation Technology Center was designed to allow you to experience every aspect
of the aviation industry and is home to some of the most advanced aviation labs, testing
equipment and fully operational maintenance hangars. The ATC is home to the only fully
functioning 737 under roof in the country.
In 2010, the Vincennes University Flight Program joined the Maintenance Program in
Indianapolis, operating ground school classes and flight simulation at the Aviation
Technology Center. Our fleet of aircraft is based at the Eagle Creek Airpark, just
a few miles from Indianapolis International.
