The program prepares you for an exciting career in commercial aviation through a balance of flight and academic classes. Aviation Flight majors begin their flight training during the first week of class in their first semester. Over the course of the 2 year program you will earn your Private Pilot, Instrument rating, Commercial Single engine and Multi Engine ratings while you earn your Associate's Degree.

Flight training is conducted at multiple locations around Indiana in Jet Access Aircraft and Flight Instructors.


What can I do with this degree?

Students can earn the following qualifications in our Vincennes / Jet Access Flight Program:

  • Private Pilot Certificate
  • Instrument Rating
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate
  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

 After Graduation students will need to build time towards their R-ATP.  This can be accomplished by getting their Certified flight Instructor certificate or various other routes. Once a student achieves the required flight hours typically begin their flight careers with a regional airline and then work their way to the major carriers.

Professional Licensure / Certification

This program offers the ground school and flight instruction for the Federal Aviation Administration Commercial Pilot flight test with instrument rating. Students may elect to obtain the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). This is a federal certification which covers all states.
