WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY TIME AT VU?
- The program provides essential courses that prepare students for further concentration in Art Education and Education courses after transferring.
- The program provides a foundation of art experiences placing a strong emphasis on hands-on studio work, providing students with plenty of opportunities to build technical art skills and express their creativity.
- This program also provides a foundation of studies in education to help provide a basic understanding of issues to consider for students considering a career as an art teacher.
- This AA degree requires 8 credit hours of foreign languages.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS DEGREE?
A degree from Vincennes University’s Art and Design Department in Art Education combines study of art and education, along with general education, courses appropriate for transfer to a four-year school to complete a degree in art education for K-12 school levels. It is recommended that students interested in college teaching follow the Art-Design, Graphic Design/Visual Communication Emphasis or the Art programs.
