Christina Hale to speak at VU on Thursday

VINCENNES, Ind. - Indiana leader Christina Hale will speak at Vincennes University on Sept. 21 on the topic, Civic Participation: This Means You. The presentation will begin at 11 a.m. EDT at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. The public is invited.

The chief executive officer of Leadership Indianapolis, Hale is a former State Representative and recent lieutenant governor candidate. Part of her responsibilities at Leadership Indianapolis is administering a Civic Leadership Summit, where leaders address issues affecting Indianapolis. The program also helps match prospective leaders with nonprofit board opportunities.

Hale served Kiwanis International as its director of executive and board services, lead area director for Europe and Asia Pacific, and chief communications officer.

A graduate of Purdue University, Hale is a board member for Indiana Humanities, the Indiana Commission on Latino Affairs, the Domestic Violence Network, and the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault.

Hale’s presentation in Vincennes is part of VU’s annual celebration of the U.S. Constitution, a document signed in Philadelphia on Sept. 17, 1777.
