Vincennes University screening documentary, hosting panel on high-tech learning in American public schools

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Humanities Film and Lecture Series will present a screening of “Without a Net: The Digital Divide in America” and host a panel discussion on Oct. 3 in Shircliff Center Auditorium.

The event is from 6-8 p.m. at 130 E. Harrison St. on the Vincennes University campus. The public is invited to attend.

The documentary examines the power and promise of high-tech learning in American public schools while highlighting the challenges of providing equitable access to many underserved rural and urban students.

Following the film, a panel featuring North Knox Superintendent Dr. Darrel Bobe, South Knox Superintendent Tim Grove, Washington Community Schools Assistant Superintendent Kevin Frank, and Knox County Public Library Director Emily Bunyan will discuss local efforts to address issues presented in the documentary.

VINCENNES UNIVERSITY - Indiana’s First College
