LAND RESOURCES - CONSTRUCTION:

CHARLES L. "CHUCK" DUFFEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Construction Technology Major
  • Traditional or Non-Traditional Student
  • Full or Part time student (minimum of 6 credit hours)
  • Financial need is a primary consideration
  • Priority consideration will be for a Knox County, Indiana student
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIP

  • Construction Technology Major
  • Awarded by Construction Technology Department
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

INDIANA BUILDERS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

  • Construction Technology major; Full time, first year student
  • Minimum of 2.5 GPA must be maintained at all times
  • Renewable for 2nd year if criteria is met, with letter of request, scholarship application and approval from the Construction Technology Department
  • Selected by Division
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

INDIANA LUMBER AND BUILDERS SUPPLY ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

  • Students enrolled in the Retail Management Option of the Construction Technology Program
  • Full time students; Minimum of 2.5 GPA must be maintained at all times
  • Selected by Department
  • Renewable for 2nd year if criteria is met, with letter of request, scholarship application and approval from the Construction Technology Department
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

NIEHAUS FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

  • Construction Technology Major
  • Full time student: Traditional or Non-Traditional students
  • 2.0 GPA or above at all times during scholarship period
  • Middle to low income will be a consideration, VU main campus
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

PETER HOSTETLER & J.D. LITHERLAND SCHOLARSHIP

  • Non-traditional student in any major under the College of Technology or in a Skilled Trades Major
  • Full time or part time enrollment
  • 2.0 GPA at all times during the award period - low to middle income is a primary consideration
  • Preference given to Knox Co. residents, then to applicants from surrounding counties attending VU Main Campus
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

TRENT D. HORRAL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Recipients must be a graduate of either Washington High School in Washington, Indiana, or Pike Central High School in Petersburg, Indiana.
  • Recipients must be a first-time student as defined by Vincennes University and enrolled as a full-time student.
  • Recipients must be enrolled in one of the Construction or Surveying programs located on the Vincennes Campus.
  • Recipients must have a 2.75 grade point average.
  • Recipients who also played basketball for four years in high school will be preferred during the selection process by the committee.
  • Students who have lost a parent or currently have a parent battling cancer may receive additional consideration during the selection process.
  • Recipients must maintain the standard level of academic progress as defined by Vincennes.

GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA AND NOTIFICATION

In addition to the specific scholarship criteria, all students must meet and maintain the following scholarship guidelines.
