Dr. Sarah Alderfer is the Director of the Center for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence. Prior to serving as Director, she was a Professor of English, and from 2013-2022, she served as the English department chair. She has a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a master’s degree from Old Dominion University, and a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
